To strengthen employees’ safety awareness, promote knowledge of everyday emergency response, and enhance their ability to perform self-rescue and assist others, the Zhuhai United Laboratories Animal Healthcare Co., Ltd.h Trade Union organized a specialized training session on Practical Emergency First Aid Skills on the afternoon of August 27. The initiative aimed to reinforce safety in both the workplace and daily life.
In-Depth Theoretical Guidance and Hands-On Training
The training was led by Ms. Zheng Lingling, a registered first aid instructor with the Red Cross Society of China and Head of the Training Department at the Zhuhai Red Cross Training Center. Tailored to actual workplace operations and everyday emergency scenarios, the course focused on common accidents and emergencies, providing systematic instruction in a range of essential first aid skills, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), bleeding control and wound dressing, chemical burns, and chemical splashes in the eyes.

During the session, Ms. Zheng Lingling drew on real-life cases to explain the key response measures for various accidents in clear, accessible language. She introduced essential first aid concepts, including the “golden window for rescue,” corrected common misconceptions about providing first aid, and outlined the complete emergency response process and standardized procedures for handling unexpected incidents.

Following the theoretical instruction, participants moved on to hands-on practice. Ms. Zheng demonstrated the correct first aid techniques, after which employees took turns practicing the simulated procedures. As they worked through the exercises, she provided individual guidance, correcting details such as chest compression posture and bandaging techniques. Through step-by-step, hands-on instruction, the training ensured that every participant could understand the techniques, learn to perform them correctly, and apply these practical first aid skills when needed.
Strengthening First Aid Skills and Upholding Workplace Safety

Through an immersive training approach combining theory and hands-on practice, this emergency first aid training effectively enhanced employees’ safety awareness and their ability to provide immediate self-rescue and mutual assistance in emergencies. It made professional first aid knowledge more accessible and helped embed essential emergency response skills into everyday practice.
