Ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, the “Filial Piety Swallows” charity team visited Pingsha Lixin Home Care Center for a heartwarming photography session with its elderly residents. Bringing cameras, props and colorful decorations, the volunteers transformed the venue into a warm and festive space, hoping to give the seniors a beautiful set of photographs as a special pre-holiday gift.

When they heard about the photo session, the seniors were as excited as children. They carefully picked out their finest clothes from their wardrobes and put on their favorite makeup, making sure every detail was just right.

In front of the camera, there were joyful family portraits capturing moments of togetherness, heartwarming photos of longtime friends and companions standing side by side, and individual portraits showcasing each senior’s radiant smile.

The volunteers helped the seniors strike their poses while keeping them smiling and laughing throughout the session. From beginning to end, happiness never left their faces. As soon as the photo session ended, the volunteers got straight to work selecting the best shots, contacting a photo studio for expedited printing, and carefully choosing beautiful frames.

Before National Day arrived, the framed photographs were delivered to the seniors. As they looked at their own portraits, their eyes filled with delight. This thoughtful gesture, carrying care and affection across the holiday season, was perhaps the sweetest reward the volunteers could have asked for.
